RAISE Forward - Early Career Teachers (ECT)

Here at RAISE Education Trust we recognise that high quality mentoring and professional development in the first years of your teaching journey provide the foundation for a successful and rewarding career in teaching.  In order to ensure this we are dedicated to providing you with a structured early career programme that will allow you to develop the knowledge, skills and experience you need in order to become an excellent practitioner and have a positive impact on the progress and experience of students in your classroom. 

Embarking on your journey as an early career teacher at RAISE Education Trust provides you with the additional benefit of being surrounded by a community of expert, committed and passionate teachers and leaders, who alongside your dedicated mentor will be able to support and guide you.  We therefore encourage you to seek out the advice and support of your teaching colleagues and use this year to visit as many lessons across the school as you can.

There will be a wealth of opportunities to involve yourself in this year in terms of professional learning and your year will certainly be enhanced if you make the most of these.  We strive for quality in everything that we do so we will expect you to actively engage with the advice and feedback from your mentor and other members of staff and be committed to your professional development.  We also recognise that the early stages of your teaching career can at times be challenging and difficult so never be afraid to admit this and we will support you in the best way we can.   We have all been there!

Your first years as a teacher are hugely exciting and full of potential and we are looking forward to working with you over the coming year.
